Investment Security - Global Real Estate Speculation

The German government has declared “investment security” to be the leitmotiv of the G8 summit. The current form of globalisation of financial markets has produced and continues to produce many losers and very few winners from new forms of transborder speculation. Even land/housing markets and thus the livelihoods of the local citizens get more and affected by private equity funds and speculative investments. Will the German presidency manage to start global negotiations in regulations for hedge and private equity funds? Or is it just a fake?
